Our harissa is moderately spicy and delicious on just about everything. We use ancho pepper for a rich, smoky flavor and moderate heat. In order to make harissa paste, simply mix our dry spice blend with oil to desired consistency. You can make it in smaller quantities so it stays fresh longer. Some of our other favorite uses are in mayo or yogurt for a dipping sauce, as a seasoning for chicken wings or simply sprinkled over a baked sweet potato.
Harissa is a Tunisian condiment, traditionally consisting of spicy peppers, garlic, coriander and caraway. Recipes vary between household and region and it's used to flavor everything from stews soups to breakfast dishes.
Ingredients: ancho, cayenne pepper, granulated garlic, ground coriander, ground caraway, ground cumin.
